More Than 60 Years With Tankers
Since our establishment, we have determined our route as reputation. We are proud to transport petroleum products, chemicals, gas and dry cargo of the world’s reputable companies with dedicated team and growing fleet.
Besiktas Shipping is a ship owning and management company of the Besiktas Group, which is highly respected and active in ship owning, ship building, and ship repair and maintenance services.
In 1960s our journey had begun with two long-term contracted oil barges from British Petroleum. And by 1980s, we had grown into a well-established short-sea tanker operator with 10 ships up to 10.000 dwt. During the same time period, tanker vessels were long-term contracted out to BP, Shell, and Mobil.
In the 1990s, we continued to enlarge our fleet with owned and operated larger tankers, such as four 30.000 dwt tankers and one 150.000 dwt crude oil carrier, which were mainly chartered to Total, Fina, Elf, ENI.
Today, with our 36 vessels and more than 1000 staff, we are a medium-size shipping organization focusing on high-quality ship management services to major charterers in crude oil, product, chemical, gas, container, and dry bulk shipping segments.
Carrying on the long and successful business tradition of Besiktas Shipping, we continue to invest in modern shipping and aspire to maintain future position as being as a reliable shipping company.
